Journalism Without Walls returns to Cuba

In the 2018 Winter session, Journalism Without Walls returns to Cuba. This is your chance to report on a fascinating country in the midst of historic changes. We will report on the final year of the Castro Era – President Raul Castro is stepping down in 2018 – as well as on the many changes the country is experiencing as US/Cuba relations enter a new phase. Cuba is rich in culture and history, the people are warm and friendly and the island is one of the safest places to travel to in the western hemisphere. We will spend time in Havana, as well as getting out to other parts of the country
There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday October 25 in the Library, room W4530 during campus lifetime. Free pizza will be served. Please RSVP to Maureen Robinson in the J-School office by Monday October 16 to reserve your spot at the meeting.
For questions about the trip, please contact Professor Ricioppo. He will be happy to discuss the trip with your parents if they have reservations about you traveling overseas.
