SBU’s Center for Communicating Science aims to demystify science in an informal setting with Science on Tap.
Science on tap, a live event and web show created by the Stony Brook University School of Journalism’s Center for Communicating Science, will return to The Bench in Stony Brook on December 12 at 6:30 p.m. with featured topic on the science of taste.
Science on Tap host Steven Reiner, a Broadcast Journalism professor at Stony Brook, will be joined by guest Alfredo Fontanini, a PECASE award-winning neuroscientist, who will lead the conversation
Science on Tap aims to bring a range of topics to the public in a casual, monthly forum, complete with food, beer, music and engaging conversation. As part of the program package, The Bench offers a nice dinner buffet with soft drinks for $13.75 ($9.95 for kids 15 and under) and $4 beer specials.
