SOJ students follow China’s fabled Silk Road

Journalism without Walls

Fifteen Stony Brook journalism students traveled across the heartland of China along the ancient Silk Road this July. It was a 3,500-mile journey, from Beijing in the Northeast to the Gobi Desert in the Northwest. As they traveled via bus and train, students chronicled the changing face of modern China in words, pictures, video and sound. They posted their work on sites hosted at Stony Brook University.
