Editor of The Washington Post Marcus Brauchli Holds Discussion

Editor of the Washington Post Marcus Brauchli discussed the decisions surrounding “Top Secret America” in the SAC Ballroom B on November 11 from 11:20 am to 12:40 pm.

“Top Secret America” is a project that describes the huge national security buildup in the United States after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. It lays out in great detail the unwieldy, dysfunctional nature of our Intelligence Industrial Complex.

Brauchli became executive editor of The Washington Post on September 2008 and oversees The Post’s print and online newsrooms. Prior to joining The Post, Brauchli was managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, and served as the Journal’s national editor during which the Journal won a Pulitzer Prize. He also had editorial responsibility for MarketWatch, the financial-news website.

He spent 15 years as a correspondent in Asia and Europe and later became global news editor and led the redesign of the Journal’s overseas editions.

Brauchli is a graduate from Columbia University.
