Eric Glandbard is currently teaching photography and video at Stony Brook University’s School of Journalism. He is also the webmaster of the School of Journalism’s website.
He has had a wide-ranging career in television and the media, for over 30 years working at nearly every job in the industry, from cable runner to director to facility manager. He began his career as a video engineer at Lorne Michael’s Broadway Video post-production facility in New York, and went on from there to a career as a cameraman, editor and sound engineer.
He was involved for many years with the LTV Media Center in East Hampton, NY, as a director, general manager and educator, where he created classes and taught video production skills to hundreds of students, and has since taught video skills courses for New York University, Southampton College, Amagansett Applied Arts and others.
Embracing life on the East End of Long Island, as head of production at WVVH TV he helped create award-winning special events programming, and directed live broadcasts and produced video stories for the innovative Plum TV network. He subsequently was co-founder of a company which developed unique programming formats for television and the Internet.
His company Eggwrx develops internet applications and creates video content for broadcast and the internet.
